I'm Still Here

Hi there,

I've got a thank you card to share today. I used all die-cuts on this one - no stamps. I had some inky fun using Distress Inks and water to create a colorful piece for my die-cut hearts and sentiment.

Of course I had to add a bit of shimmer with my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen!

Some of you know that my hubby had a heart attack last Sunday. He is now home and doing really well. It was quite scary for awhile there, but he had excellent care at the hospital and I am so grateful for all the doctors, nurses and staff in the Cardiac Care Unit! This card will be given to them to show my appreciation for their amazing, hard work and caring ways.

I also want to thank those of you who have sent love, hugs, prayers and well wishes to me and my hubby! ♥

We will be waking up in the morning to a whole foot of new snow - UGH! We're in the middle of a blizzard as I type this - very heavy, wet snow with wind speeds of 40 mph. Some trees in the area have fallen down from the weight of all that snow, and there are many people without power. It is definitely a winter I won't soon forget and we still have the rest of February and all of March to go - yikes!

I hope you enjoy your weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh, Barb - how scary this week must have been for you. Isn't it strange how we see all these people's pictures on their blogs or the comments and don't realize real life goes on behind those faces. I'm so thankful to hear your husband is doing well. And I'm jealous of your foot of snow. I live in Memphis, TN and we haven't had ANY. It's gone north of us and it's gone south of us but absolutely none here! :-) And by the way, LOVE your card. Love the colors - it does make me ready for spring!!
