Watercolored Flowers

Happy Friday!

It's been a busy week with not much time to create. My DH is doing really well and has been given the green light to go back to work, half-days, starting Monday - yay! Then, the following week he'll be back full time. Such a relief!

I work today and then have 8 days off, so I'm really excited about that too!

I do have a card to share with you today. It's another one for Virginia's View challenge.

Watercoloring can be done in so many ways. That's what makes it so fun! For this card, I stamped the flowers from Hero Arts' Dauber Bunch clear set with Jet Black Archival Ink. Then I added my colors with a water brush and Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.

I wanted to add another bright color so I created lots of dots with a yellow Copic Marker. (added some blue ones too.) And I love the heart-shaped, Sugardot Stickers from Prima - so cute! The Sentiment is from Hero Arts and is included in their It's Your Day clear set.

I'm also entering this into the Hero Arts challenge, in the Floral Birthday category.

I'm working on another (3rd) card for Virginia's challenge and will be sharing that soon.

I hope everyone has a fun, crafty weekend and thank you so much for stopping by! ♥

Barb I am so glad to hear that you hubby is doing so well--green light is such a good sign and really so quickly! Sending him good wishes on continuing his recovery!

Your card is awesome, love the blue and green against t he black. I take it that archival ink will not bleed with watercolouring?

Enjoy your weekend, and you good news.

This is such a gorgeous card! So clever too, to create your own pattern, and I love how you used 2 different distress inks for your flowers...so pretty! Loving the pop of yellow, too...and those charming hearts are fabulous!
