Virginia's View Challenge #2

Hi there!

I wanted to sit down and make something pretty and spring-like, after getting 8 inches of SNOW last night! Yikes - will it ever end? You can check out a photo I took this morning here.  There is some good news though - we're suppose to get past 60 degrees by next week - you have no idea how awesome that's going to feel!

So, after seeing that Virginia's View Challenge #2 was to use stencils, I pulled out a memory box one that I have never used. It's called, Butterfly Vine and it's so pretty! I used it with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, then added a bit of Mint ink from Simon Says Stamp.

I also used two Memory Box Butterfly Dies - the Darla Butterfly, which was cut with vellum, and the Vivienne Butterfly, which was cut with white cardstock and shaded in with Copics to match my design. I had to add a bit of shimmer with my Wink of Stella Clear Pen. I love how these butterfly dies were made to go with the stencil! The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set called Flower Friend.

I'm hoping my Hello Spring card keeps the snow away for a very long time!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have an awesome weekend! ♥

Snow, snow, go away! Horrible! Collin's soccer game is cancelled for this morning as we've had three straight days of pouring rain! Your card is sure to encourage spring. The way you added the vellum butterfly is absolutely stunning Barb!
