Watercoloring With Fresh Cut Florals!

Hi everyone!

I'm up very late once again, trying to catch up with my homework for the Watercolor For Card Makers class. It's okay though - it's homework I WANT to do!

I had so much fun tonight creating this card! It's for the lesson from day 5, which was watercoloring stamped images. I was inspired by Swarup Murthy (Sanketi) who is an amazing watercolor artist! Before I started my card though, I also watched this video from Dawn over at the WPlus9 blog. She used their Fresh Cut Florals set to create a beautiful card! I wanted so bad to try it and never thought it would turn out but it did! I'm really excited about this one! Take a look.

The card measures only 3 x 41/2 inches. I selectively inked up each separate, little stamp with Distress Markers, then added a bit of water with a small paint brush. I was so surprised that it turned out the way I wanted it to - yay!

Both Dawn and Swarup have some wonderful tips for watercoloring stamped images and I have learned so much!

Okay, I'm off to bed - another long day at work tomorrow. My only worry, after today, is that I did not order enough plants or bouquets - I hate running out but it's a tough thing to predict.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope all you moms out there have a wonderful Mother's Day! Love and hugs to you each of you! ♥

I watched both videos, too, and your card is just a wonderful. I have this stamp set and been wondering how to use it. Now I know. I don't have a vase, but I'll just paint one freehand.
