Hi there!
I've got a quick post tonight with a card to share for our bonus day in Stretch Your Stamps 2 online card class.
Today's lesson was all about having fun with "color me" stamps. Each of the designers used the sweet, Up and Away stamp set by Mama Elephant. It's such a cute set and I had fun coloring it!
Both Kryssi Ng and Debby Hughes used water colors to add a fun effect to their images. I wanted to give it a try too but it wasn't going well at first.
After laying down some water colors onto the umbrellas, I wanted to soften the colors a bit. But instead of adding more water with my paint brush, I decided (for an unknown reason) to spritz a bit of water onto the colors with a mini mister. I cringed at first but then I realized it looked really cool. What do ya think?
Isn't it fun when a new discovery is found accidentally? The cute critters were colored with water color pencils and blended with a Dove Blender. The sentiment is included in the stamp set.
That's it - short and sweet. I hope to be back sometime on Monday with a card for day 7.
Thanks for stopping by! ♥

I think it's a great effect! Like Jennifer McGuire says, the worse it looks when you first do something (especially with watercoloring), the better it will look in the end. Wonderful card--tfs!
way cool, barb!
I think you have captured the ESSENCE of the designs! You are too hard on yourself, my friend! Love this cute card!
