Day 3 - Clean and Simple 4

Hey there!

I'm back with a few more cards today. I loved all three techniques from day 3 of the online card class, Clean and Simple 4. More importantly, I actually had time to try each one!

This first one was inspired by Julie Ebersole's technique. You stamp using Gesso and it works as a resist.

I used the Hero Arts, Classic Bloom wood stamp for my flowers and the sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp's, Friendship Messages.

My second card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. She shared a really fun technique too! Who knew that clear, VersaMark ink could give results like this!?

The stencil I used is from Simon Says Stamp. It's called, Make a Scene. That adorable tree die is from their Woodland Tree set and I used another sentiment from their Friendship Messages set.

My last card uses a technique most of you have probably heard of and it's a favorite - velveteen stamping. It always gives gorgeous results!

Here's a close-up so you can see the white-on-white text showing through the stamped flowers.

I first stamped Hero Arts' Friend Definition in white pigment ink and let dry before stamping the flowers. Speaking of those sweet flowers, they're from a set called, Floral Bookmarking from Simon Says Stamp. I thought they'd look really pretty, stamped in Hero Arts' Cornflower Mid-Tone ink. The sentiment is from a set called, Flower Friend by SSS.

I had a lot of luck today playing with these techniques. Hoping it continues through the rest of the class!

Thanks for the visit! I'm off to check out day 4! ♥

You've nailed all three of these techniques, Barb. I think the first is my favorite...so arty...but I'm also impressed at how well your Versamark worked on number 2. You obviously had the perfect ink combo.

Love your cards. I like the added depth you got using the die cut in white against the white tones created with the vesamark ink. The colors on your classic blooms are gorgeous. Your Velveteen background stamp is just friendly and fun.
