Guest Designing

Hi guys!

I have the pleasure of guest designing for Paru and her challenge blog this month! Thank you, Paru, for inviting me!

The theme for April is "Anything Goes" so I'm sure many of you will guess that I used flowers for my card - I couldn't resist!

I love this floral set, created by Dawn from WPlus9! I had fun with the shadow technique, using white pigment ink to stamp the images, then stamping again, a bit offset this time, with bright colored inks. The effect is always so pretty! This technique works best on a Kraft or soft gray cardstock. I used Simon Says Stamp's Fog Cardstock and that fabulous sentiment is also from WPlus9 called, Hand Lettered Thanks.

Paru also asked me to create a tag. With tags, my thought always goes to birthday gift tags so that's what I made.

I thought a shaker tag would be fun! I used the, Lots of Dots stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. It's the perfect set for creating fun, festive backgrounds! For the shaker portion, I used the Stitched Circle die set, also from SSS.

So, pop on by Paru's Card Making Challenge blog for more details and to check out all the fun! I hope you'll join me in her challenge this month!

Congratulations and beautiful designs Barb! I have been a bad blogger lately, I think I have been leaning on IG to connect with my friends, maybe too much!
