I've decided to change the colors and header of my blog to reflect what it looks like outside this time of year. The trees have all lost their leaves, no snow has fallen yet and this weekend we are suppose to have temps in the high 50s. I'm not complaining though! Every single day we can get without any snow is a good day for me! I think snow is really pretty when we get the first couple of snowfalls, but it gets old very fast when you have to drive a half hour to work and back (so scary!) and when you have to shovel! (It hurts these aging bones!)
Anyway, enough about how much I hate winter. . .I'll get through another one like always, and have a smile on my face doing it. (It will probably be frozen that way!)
I do have some creations to show you today. The past few days, I've been playing with inking techniques for the Hero Arts November challenge. Love getting inky! This first one is a tag I made using the Classic Holly stamp.
These next two cards were made using alcohol inks on watercolor paper, as shown in Jennifer McGuire's Holiday Thinking Inking class for week 5. Love the effect!
This card is for my older sister, Nancy. I just used emboss resist on this one. I love the way the Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder looks by itself, using just VersaMark and no ink color. I cased one of Shari's cards from the Hero Arts blog today, when she introduced Pia for her Win-a-Day win.
And I just had to include this photo! For some reason, my kitty, Murphy was very interested in this particular card! Not sure why. . .And yes, he is as soft as he looks and as sweet as can be! Best cat I ever had!
One more thing! There is a fabulous giveaway on the Simply Create blog. Check it out to win a set of 48. . .yup, that's right. . .48 Prismacolor Art Markers! Awesome!
I hope you are all having a great week and I'm glad you stopped by! :)
