It's Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

I found an old alcohol inked panel in my stash, that I had made back when Jennifer was doing her Thinking Inking classes, and wanted to use it on a card. I embossed the poppy stamp in white over the top of it. Now that I look at it, the white areas in the background look like the embossing powder got all over the place, but that's not the case. When I pounced on the alcohol inks, I left some white areas because I thought it looked so cool. Now I'm thinking it would've been better to emboss the poppies in black or... Anyway, we live and learn and that's what makes the process more enjoyable, right? I sure enjoyed using my Musical Background stamp for the first time and it won't be the last. . .love it!

I am also enjoying the day off today, except for the weather. It has been miserable here. Too cold for this early in the Fall and tons of rain lately. I'm hearing next week should be warmer and brighter! Here's hoping! At least it's a good excuse to stay in and make cards!

One more thing before I go. Anne (Bubash) is have a Halloween giveaway on her blog. Just click here and see what fun goodies she's giving to one lucky winner!

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Barb, I love this card. It is very beautiful and I love the colors and the background is gorgeous. The weather here in Alabama is raining, but we need the rain. So, it is also a good day for me to stay in.

Such a great background... reminds me that I should do some more backgrounds to have on hand.... Auckland weather is still very winter like despite Daylight savings starting today!!!! Down south there has been snow and rain but just lots of rain here...as you say great for being at the craft desk. Love the music background - isn't it the greatest!!!
