An Inspired Card

Hi there!

Last week, and through this past weekend, I was really struggling with my mojo. It's no big deal, it happens to me more often than I'd like, I'm even sort of getting used to it, but this time there was a BIG problem! Ya see, I have lots of DT cards to create for some really fun, upcoming Lily Pad Cards challenges, and I was starting to panic!

So, yesterday I sat at the computer and looked through some of my favorite photostreams of people who inspire me. I always love looking at Lin's cards on her blog here and her Flickr photostream here. She has a wonderful, happy style, and at this time of year, when spring is approaching, she makes the most beautiful flower cards!

So, I got right to work, channeling my "inner Lin," and here's what I came up with.

I used some fun, bright Echo Park patterned paper and a Hero Arts flower set. I had so much fun creating this card!

I want to thank Lin for not only inspiring me, but for helping to get my creative juices flowing again! I've made five other cards today, and I wish I could show them all to you, but not yet. Three of them are for the challenges mentioned above, and the other two are for some really fun and exciting things coming soon - can't wait to share them with you, so stay tuned! :)

Okay, it's very late so I'm heading to bed. At least I don't have to work tomorrow. I'm still on vacation and loving every minute of it!

Thanks for the visit! Hope you're having a fun and creative week! :)

Barb... when I first saw this over on FLickr I thought it WAS by Lin... it is so her style. You've got it to a "T". And added your own style with the colours. Hope your mojo keeps going and you also enjoy your break.

Oh so glad you got inspired, this card is very pretty! I don't know what I'd do if I were on a DT because my mojo leaves quite regularly and when it goes it takes a long hike!!
Happy vacation days:)

Hi Barb, I think you created a really lovely flower card with some really happy colors! I totally understand about mojo dips, it definitely happens to me when I go away for a while like on a holiday, or when I make too many cards! And I'm with you about Lin's creativity when it comes to flowers, she makes the most awesome flower cards!
