Tooting My Own Horn

Happy Monday!

Can you believe it's October already? Wow this year has flown by so quickly! We've had a gorgeous fall so far - the weather has been so beautiful with warm temps and blue skies - the longer that lasts, the better! If we could just hold off on the cold and snow until. . . . .oh, I don't know. . . . .maybe until Christmas Eve? (heehee)

I love the idea for the new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays this week! We are to create a card inspired by our own blog header - is that fun or what?! I knew in order to enter this one, I had to get a bit inky. This card may not look too clean and simple, but it's a one layer, and it literally only took me 15 minutes to create.

I did a bit of masking for the "river." I stamped the Hero Arts Classic Evergreen in a few different ink colors, then removed the mask and carefully shaded in the bottom for the water. I added a very light blue for the sky over the trees, stamped the sentiment and I was finished!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week! :)

What amazing Fall colors, Barb, and I love the effect of the sentiment on the "river"! It so reminds me of the trip we took this weekend along the Mississippi!
