Getting Inky With CAS Cards!

Hi Everyone!

I'm going to try and write a quick post because it's very late and I need to get to bed. I've got two cards to share from the CAS Card Making class, day #3. (Suddenly I'm remembering when I was back in High School and College - staying up late to do homework!)

Today we were taught that it's okay to use fun, inking techniques on clean and simple cards. I like that idea because I have a difficult time leaving lots of white space, not to mention the fact that I LOVE to get inky!

My first card was created by using the offset stamping technique, shared by Kristina. So simple but it can have a wonderful effect when using bright, happy colors!

My second card was a ton of fun! Jennifer shared the gradient stamping technique. I've never tried it the way she showed us in class until now! :)

Jennifer added a die-cut bow to her card, but I don't have that die. Thankfully she also showed us a way to make our own. It's not perfect but it sure was a neat idea to try! :)

Thanks for stopping by - I'm off to catch some zzzzzzzz's.

Thanks Barb you inspired me to try something out. I received some Hero Arts shadow ink to try out. And the offsite stamping technique is perfect for showing the quality of this ink!
And I know what you mean that it's scary to leave white spots. But your results are beautiful!

I thought about ordering that die, but decided it is a lot less expensive to make my own bows!! You did great with this technique!

I LOVE how your offset stamping came out--the best I've seen that doesn't make my eyes go wonky! Such pretty colors, too! And your bow is gorgeous--you really don't need any dies! The glittery sentiment is so pretty!
