Stretch Your Stamps 2-Days 7 & 8

Hello!

I'm so happy to have the day off from work so I can play with my stamps and finish my homework for the online card class, Stretch Your Stamps 2.

In the lessons from days 7 and 8, the designers and teachers shared so many awesome ideas using a fun, graphic stamp set called, Rounded Diamonds by Avery Elle. It's the kind of stamp set that I always struggle with, so these lessons were very inspiring for me.

I've created three cards - two with inspiration from class and one just for fun.

This card was inspired by Debby Hughes' beautiful card from day 7. The little tear drop stamps in this set are so cute! I used lots of different inks from SSS and Hero Arts for my stamping. And that fabulous, big "thanks" is from a WPlus9 set called, Hand Lettered Thanks.

My second card was inspired by Kelly Rasmussen from day 8. She shared a technique that has endless possibilities - stamping the images along the edge of a card.

Lately, I am loving the Sea Glass and Mint inks together - I just think it's such a pretty combination! I thought using the silver, glittery cardstock to add some sparkly hearts and a hello die-cut would compliment those soft colors well.

When my homework was finished, I found myself wanting to play more with this fun set. So, I made another card.

This time, I took this large rounded diamond and heat embossed it in white. Then I added some shading using the same two ink pads as above, along with some Lemon Chiffon ink. I cut out the shapes, popped them up with some foam adhesive and added the Thank You die-cut. It's a die that corresponds with the Hand Lettered Thanks set. It's fun because you can stamp the words onto the die-cut, so you end up with a little white border - love that!

Okay, it's a beautiful day so I'm heading outside! Thanks for stopping by! ♥

WOW! You have really knocked it out of the park with 3 gorgeous cards, Barb! Especially since these graphic shapes are so difficult to work with! I love all the colors you chose for each one, and I'm so impressed with the design you created on the last card! As always, you get an A+++++ from me :-)
